1984 saw the birth of RodaChem bv, a unipersonal chemical trading company destined to become a leading player in the market of specialties and strategic raw materials. Throughout the eighties RodaChem bv grew in the local dutch market and neighbouring Germany based on distribution to the feed / agricultural sectors and the building/ceramic industry. In these years RodaChem bv achieved a solid experience in international trade, developing a solid logistic base at the ports of Rotterdam and Antwerp, which would soon after allow RodaChem to enjoy the benefits of overseas trade. In fact, the growing demand for industrial chemicals and bulk commodities, led RodaChem to open new ways inside one the greatest sources of raw materials worldwide: China. In the early nineties, the founder of RodaChem took a large step forward in establishing “pioneering” contacts with Chinese chemical enterprises, and importing directly from the producers a whole new range of products that would boost RodaChem’s business across the whole European continent. Aware of the concern for quality guarantees, Rodachem obtained in 1993 the ISO9002 certificate, whose procedures and guidelines set the Dutch trading company on a steady growth. Today, RodaChem still enjoys the benefits of its first steps, having grown from a unipersonal company to a small/medium sized enterprise, and having established its presence in the global chemical business, serving several key manufacturing sectors thanks to its name and reputation of “Qualified partner in chemicals and raw materials”.
